Making Internships Matter
Pasco, WA – July 31, 2008 – Vivid Learning Systems (OTC:VVDLE) and Imageworks have implemented a unique internship program to recruit, cultivate and utilize talent for all aspects of business on a year round basis. Unlike many internship programs, the year-round approach provides applicants access to a creative environment, intellectual resources, real world experience and above all, sets the stage for an unprecedented level of collaboration between Academia and Corporate America.
Summer internships have been offered at VLS and Imageworks for approximately eight years and have proven to be quite successful for both applicant and company. Based on this success, the process of cultivating young talent has progressively improved.
Current internships at VLS and Imageworks are available on a 3 tier basis. Positions are available for high school and college students looking to gain experience as well as recent college graduates hoping to begin down a career path.
From the joy and gratitude of finding the internship of a lifetime to the application of skills and talent on projects that matter, this program has been a source of motivation to all involved.

After the few months of working with the marketing department, I am now certain that marketing is the career choice for me after college. I’m going to go back to college with a great deal of real life marketing knowledge to use in all of my classes.” said Patrick Covert, Marketing/Sales Intern, Vivid Learning Systems and junior at University of Buffalo, NY.

Thanks to the design practice in various editing tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Flash and Dreamweaver, I finished my internship with an increased confidence in my web and graphic design skills.” said Ben Watson, Interactive Designer, Imageworks.
