Refresh 2010 a Success!
June 25, 2010 – The 3rd Annual Refresh event, held at the Vivid Learning Systems courtyard in Pasco, was another great success. More than 150 people representing businesses and non-profit organizations from around the Columbia Basin were shown their appreciation by the host companies with food, drinks, live music, and the announcement of this year’s Refresh Award winners.
Winning this year’s top prize from Imageworks ($5,000 worth of website design services) was the Prosser Economic Development Association. The 2nd and 3rd place awards, given to the CREHST Museum and the Edith Bishel Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired, each received $500 toward a professional photo session or print ad.
A new addition to this year’s Refresh event was the introduction of a brand new category by Vivid Learning Systems for training upgrades. The winner of $5,000 worth of online training was the Down Syndrome Association of the Mid-Columbia. The Arc of the Tri-Cities and Benton County each won $500 in training upgrades as the 2nd and 3rd place organizations.
Hear from the winners:
“As a non-profit organization, this award allows us to be competitive with other economic development groups that are much larger and have deeper pockets . . . thank you Imageworks!”
-Deb Heintz, Executive Director, Prosser Economic Development Association
“The Down Syndrome Association of the Mid-Columbia (DSAMC) is honored and excited to receive the Training award from Vivid Learning Systems. We plan to work with Vivid to develop training that will raise the awareness of Down syndrome. DSAMC would like to thank Vivid Learning Systems for hosting Refresh and giving so much back to the community.”
-Chris Fowler, DSAMC Co-Founder
